OK, here we go ....

It's the official Breach family blog. So to start off 2008, here are a few of our 2007 Christmas memories. We did so many fun Christmas things this year. A few weeks before Christmas, Grandma, Papa, Huncle Ben (thats what Mylie calls him), Aunt Holli, Darcy, Max, Eliza and Bailey were all here (we missed you Courtney and Jason!). We spent a fun (and cold evening) at the Winter Garden Aglow. This is a light show setup at the botanical gardens at the old pennitentiary in Boise. It is beautiful and amazing, plus so neat because my Great-Grandpa Rudd was the warden there and Grandma Hammond lived there when she was little. The kids got to see Santa and see Prancer. I don't have any pictures that will do justice to how beautiful it is, so instead here is one of Mylie and Max when I got the camera out. Weirdos!

The next week we had the big camel trip ... the what you may ask? Last year we went with Grandma and Grandpa Breach to a living nativity scene at a church in Nampa. They had all the animals there, including a camel. I have no idea how Mylie could remember this, but she did and had been asking forever when we got to go see the camel. Grandma tracked it down and though it was pouring rain, Mylie got to see her camel (Alice the camel has one hump). She had no fear this year and pet him and let him lick her hand.

A few days later was the much anticipated Polar Express train ride with Grandma and Grandpa Breach. A few weeks before Christmas Mylie and I watched the Polar Express one night while Daddy was at work. She knew that we were going on a train with Grandma and Grandpa, but actually seeing the train movie got her so excited. Her biggest fear was that Grandma (who had the tickets) would lose Mylie's and then she would be in big trouble because the guy couldn't punch her ticket. The train ride was such fun and so was seeing Santa at the North Pole! Mylie was very excited to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what she wanted. She is very into babies lately (wonder why?) and she has told us all month that she wants a car seat for her dolls. So there we are at the North Pole, Mylie is sitting on Santa's lap and he asks her what she wants and she tells him a car seat. Santa looks at me (note, that I am incredibly pregnant) and says, "That's a very responsible request for a little girl." I then explained to Santa it was for her dolls.

Christmas itself was very fun. Jeff had to work (he is on night shift 7p - 7a) on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, so it was a little strange, but still a wonderful day. Santa delivered a baby car seat for Mylie's dolls as well as many other things, I guess despite the one phone call Daddy had to make to Santa, Mylie managed to stay on the good list. We had a fun Christmas dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Breach, Uncle Matt and Aunt Shawnna, and Melanie, Rylee, Avery and Brax.

So now the New Year is here. I went back to work today after being off since Christmas and Mylie went back to Alicia's. It's our attempt to go back to a schedule, for at least a few more weeks until this bundle of boy gets here and life gets crazy again. We can't wait!!!
