Soccer Star!

Last week was Mylie's end of the season soccer party. She had fun eating pizza with her teammates. But she really had fun getting her first soccer trophy!! Her coach said that she had the biggest kick on her team and it sure hurt when you got kicked by one of her kicks!

CJ, Jenna, Mylie, Sarah, Madelyn, Auna (missing Sarah). I think the girls are going to try to play together again in the fall. She had a very fun season!

"No, baBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE"

{This story makes me giggle, so I have to write it down to remember it.}

Blake is starting to pick up quite a few new words {we are so proud of him}. One of his new words is baby. He likes to talk about babies. Everytime he sees a baby or sees one of Mylie's dolls, he says "baby." Well, my sister, Bailey, is coming to visit this week. Mylie and I keep trying to teach him the word Bailey. Our thoughts are, it sounds like baby, he should be able to say it. But no, the conversation goes like this ...

Mommy: Blake, can you say Bailey?
Blake: No! Baby!!
Mommy: Can you say Bailey?
Blake (now yelling): BABY!
Mommy: No, Blake. Could you try to say Bailey?
Blake (yelling and shaking his arms in the air): BaBEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

Is it wrong that we just keep asking him because he gets so mad and it is hilarious? Probably. But hey, thats the kind of mom I am.

Hi Mom!

Hi Mom,

I just wanted to remind you of some of the naughty/boy things I have done this weekend. I know it was your day off on Friday and you thought that meant a relaxing day. You should know by now that I had something else in mind. Someday you will laugh at these things, so this is to help you to remember ...
  • I found the eggs you hid in the fridge. I thought that instead of cracking them on the kitchen floor, it would be fun to crack the whole pack in the living room on top of the dog kennel. While I was at it, I thought I would add a little milk to them. You have got to start taking faster showers Mom.
  • You know that big gallon pitcher of nice cold water you keep in the fridge? I thought it would go better dumped out on the kitchen floor. It is too bad that they don't make a fridge lock that I can't break.
  • Mom, remember when you started my bath water and then you were busy cleaning up all the water on the counter that Mylie spilled? Remember how when I heard the water running, I pulled my shorts and diaper off, came running down the hall, and stood and peed on the carpet? That was awesome.
  • I know I am not supposed to get in the fridge, but I got kind of hungry so I got the Costco sized block of cheese out and just started taking bites off the end of it. I may have given Bosco a bite too. It was very tasty.
  • Mom, remember how I had to go to time out in my room for unplugging the TV? I didn't know that you would get mad if I pulled the mattress off of my bed and set a chair up next to it and practiced my jumping/landing skills.
  • It was funny when your cousin Matthew was staying here this weekend and you made a giant breakfast for us all. Remember how you gave me ketsup for my eggs, but instead of using my manners I just used my spoon and ate ketsup for breakfast. Yum yum.
  • Then remember how when anyone squeezed the ketsup bottle and it made a noise I giggled and said "Dadda!!"

Mom, I don't know why you are so insistent that I take a nap or why you are so tired at the end of the day. You know that as soon as I climb on your lap, say Momma and grab your face and pull it to mine and give you a big kiss on the lips you are going to forget all the naughty things I do. I'm sure I'll have more "memories" for you tomorrow.

Hugs and kisses,

Bubba

Not sure who told them it was OK to grow up ...

but they look so grown up to me!! The weather here is gorgeous and we spent some time Friday night at the park. The kids were in heaven.

Mylie was very excited to find hopscotch there.
Blakey looks older than a 2 year old to me.
She looks so grown up to me in this picture!

While Sissy is at soccer practice ...

First Blake gets really, really mad that he didn't get to go. He screams and cries for a few minutes. Then he sneaks into her room, turns on her CD player and dances for a bit. He gets her toy cell phone and makes a few calls.

Then he gets out the dolls ...

and the jewelery ...

and he plays happily for the next hour.

I bribe him with treat and an episode of Max and Ruby right before Mylie and Daddy get home. I put all her stuff back in her room, and she is never the wiser.

I can't help it!

That's right, I just can't help posting soccer pictures every weekend!

Going for the goal!!
It's like a "hair action" shot. Hehe.

Grandma Breach came to Mylie's soccer game and then took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese afterwards to play. They did some major playing and had a lot of fun!

New Do.

Mylie got her hair cut last week. And she loves our pink tree. And I told her she could pose however she wanted, so she was totally up for a couple picture the other night.

Goodness! She looks grown up to me in these pictures!!

Smarty Pants.

Yesterday evening we went on a drive. As we were on our way home, Mylie kept asking questions, such as, "Can I have a snack when I get home?" "Can I play when I get home home?" "Can I go outside when we get home?" Jeff was patiently answering her, then finally told her "No Mylie. When we get home it is bedtime. Every question you ask the answer is no!" She was quiet for a minute, then asked, "Do I have to go to bed when I get home?" Then she started laughing like a crazy girl, knowing she just pulled a fast one on her Daddy. Smarty pants!
