I'm THAT Mom!
You know the Mom who is always showing off pictures of her kids, showing new soccer pictures every week even though they look just like the soccer pictures from the week before? Yup, I'm that Mom.

It was a fun and exciting morning for her. She has been so excited, then got a bit nervous a couple days ago. We said a little prayer before we went this morning and she did just great. All the kids got to go to the Kindergarten room to do an activity while the moms and dads met with the principal. This is my first interaction with Star Elementary, but I think it is going to be just fabulous! I am so excited for her to start this stage of her life. I am pretty certain she is going to LOVE school!

Happy Easter!
We had a great Easter at our house this year.
Blake's basket.
Mylie's basket.
Blake starting on the candy at 7 am.
Mylie searching for eggs.
We spent yesterday and today watching General Conference. The kids did fairly good. We brought their table and chairs into the living room and they colored quite a bit. Blake is totally getting into coloring lately. It is pretty cute.
Grandma and Grandpa came over for a yummy Easter dinner and to celebrate Grandma's birthday later this week.
The kids were a bit crazy today (up at 6 + no naps = hyper kids = cranky parents). But even when they drive me crazy, I love them to pieces and know I am blessed to be their momma. I am grateful for Easter, I am grateful that God loved us so much he sent his Son to die for us. I am grateful that Jesus was resurrected and what that means. I am grateful for the Gospel in my life and the opportunity to teach my children about the Gospel. I am grateful for my family and for Jeff's family. I am grateful that my children have fabulous grandparents that they adore ... and that the feeling is mutual.

Spring Break, Plan B
Our spring break weather has not been ideal. Think rain/snow/wind/yuck! I had Thursday and Friday off of work. I had plans of the zoo, the park, soaking up the sun. Nope, just soaking. Jeff was home for the afternoon today and we decided to go to the movies. This was Blake's first trip to the movies (other than as an infant). I was a bit nervous. See, on Mylie's 2nd birthday I decided to take her to the movies ... it was a terrible experience. I may have sat in the parking lot and cried after the 20 minutes we made it through. I did not know what to expect from Blake.
See, we love going to the movies. In our pre-kid days, going to the movies was one of our favorite things. If Blake did well today, could that possibly mean that going to the movies could become a family activity?
So we went to the dollar (I guess its actually a $2) theater to see "The Tooth Fairy." And you know what ... he didn't do half bad. He had his kid's popcorn and his kid's soda and he made it through the first hour before he got a little restless. This is the kid who has had virtually no interest in TV up until the last month or two. It was a lot of fun and I can definitely see us doing it again soon! Yay for the movies!

Poor Bosco
Our little puppy is growing up so fast! He is a good dog, a little hyper at times, but still good. Jeff suggested that I take him to obedience school since he seems to respect Jeff much more than me. Sigh. It must be a trend.
This afternoon the kids and I were in the office working on some Easter art projects. Bosco was not invited in and was not so happy about that. He just kept peeking over the gate watching us dance and craft.
The kids sure love him though. Tonight before they were going to bed they both gave Bosco a hug before Jeff or I. I love that they have a built in playmate with him. Now, if I could just keep Blake in the house. He has figured out how to open the back door and thinks it is his job to let Bosco and himself out to play. Grrrr.
