Today would be Grandma's 86th birthday. She has been gone for three and a half years and there are still days that out of the blue my eyes will well up with tears thinking about her. I am very aware that I am so lucky to be close to my grandparents and to have had 30+ years with my Grandma. I am aware of how lucky I was to be close to her, not just in physical proximity, but emotionally as well. I am lucky that I had to opportunity to be taught by her and to learn from her. In fact, I am quite certain that it wasn't luck at all, but that I am blessed. My life was definitely blessed by hers!

Happy Birthday Grandma!
Today would be Grandma's 86th birthday. She has been gone for three and a half years and there are still days that out of the blue my eyes will well up with tears thinking about her.
