The view from my front door ...

There is only one week a year when this tree looks like this. It almost takes my breath away everytime I see it, it is just so vibrant and beautiful.
And to the side of our porch, our lilacs are starting to bloom.
We have had some crazy weather the last few days, wind, rain, hail, you name it. But the clouds and blue skies are so beautiful today. I had to take a picture, but it doesn't do it justice!

Dear Mom,

Hi Mom!
I kept pretty busy while you were in the shower this morning.
  • I dumped out a whole sippy cup of milk on your bed.
  • I used your perfume as a sippy cup.
  • I snuck a pear out of the fridge, ate half and then lost the rest.
  • I went in the backyard.
  • I mopped the kitchen floor.
  • I let the dog out.
  • I tried to get on facebook on your computer.

Actually, these are just the things you know about. You are going to have to get up a whole lot earlier than 6:30 to keep up with me.

Hugs and kisses,

Blakey

Soccer Saturday

Soccer Saturday once again! Mylie's team did a great job of defense this week, probably the best I have seen them do. Mylie played a great game, I think that girl has some true soccer skills. Plus, look how fast she runs ... her hair just flies behind her. She got her hair cut last week and it is super cute.

Don't you love how they are on the same team and both going for the ball? I love the serious look on Mylie's face!

The sidelines. Blake insisted on wearing his winter coat. Weird boy. During the course of the game he threw my cell phone, his toy computer, an apple, and a sippy cup out into the field.
After the game is over all the parents/spectators make a tunnel and the girls all run through ... two or three times. The girls love this part!

I like being a soccer mom!

Today I Love ...

*Olive Garden
*my new widescreen monitor
*golden delicious apples
*spring
*Pandora (created my best station yet!)
*cute pink sweater
*Sephora lip gloss

And of course, everyday I madly love Mylie, Blake and Jeff!
And the puppy, can't forget him.

Happy!!

Happy is Blake's new word and happy perfectly summed up our Saturday. Gramma and Papa came to visit for the day. We met them at the park and had a picnic and then went to the zoo. Blake was stroller-free and very happy about it.

Oh they loved the slide. There were lots of trips down it.
There was a new addition at the zoo, a feeding area for the goats and sheep. The kids thought it was pretty cool!
Then it was off to the merry-go-round. Blake went with Gramma. Just last month Gramma went on the tower of terror and splash mountain and the thunder mountain rail. However, the Zoo Boise merry-go-round made her dizzy! But Blake loved it.
Beautiful girl checking out the animals and making faces at me.
LOVE this picture!
We always have to take a turn driving the old Jeep at the zoo.
After the zoo, we stayed at the park and played. Oh, the weather was so beautiful, in the mid-70s. It felt wonderful! After the park we headed to Mylie's soccer game. This picture makes me laugh, I wonder what Mylie and her teammate are talking about, soccer? the other team? what snacks are going to be?
And here is Mylie scoring one of many goals. She was a soccer rock star yesterday. I seriously think she scored like 6 goals!
It was a great day that ended {traditionally} at Fuddruckers. My kids are so blessed to have two wonderful sets of grandparents and they really treasure all the time they get to spend with them! It makes me HAPPY!!

Spring!

I really love spring, oh it fuels my spirit!! Today was beautiful, in the 70s, by far the warmest day this spring. And lucky me, it coincided with my day off! Yippee. After getting our to-dos done, we headed to the park in the afternoon. Both kids LOVE to swing. We did lots of it.

And this boy ... is so naughty! More eggs on the floor today, playing in the dishwasher, dancing on top of the dog kennel .... But then I look at these brown eyes and all is forgotten.

Someone in our house is a BLACK BELT!

After 6 years of Kenpo and patiently waiting 3 months since his test, Jeff was awarded his black belt in Kenpo today!! I'm so proud of him.
